A Mind Boggling Post

It’s that time again…. The daily Zero to Hero Blogger Challenge! Today’s challenge is simple; write what’s on your mind. I have a ton on my mind but I’ll try to focus on one subject.

High School. It’s extremely difficult and will probably be the death of me. I’m only a freshman however, I take several advanced placement classes including Biology and Geometry. I absolutely love Biology, it’s my favorite subject. Geometry on the other hand is horrible. At first, I thought it would be easy (I had an equation in my head: Geometry=Shapes), but it turned out to be much more. Other than that I’m pretty stable and am productive in class. I hope to one day become a Microbiologist, or Cardiologist as these are fields of work I feel suit me.

With winter break almost over and school starting again, I hope to have a great semester and do the best that I can do, after all I am Josh of Earth and can accomplish anything I set my mind to.

Honesty: Is it really the best policy?

Today’s “challenge” is to write something about honesty; if it’s truly the best policy. In my opinion honesty is the best policy, however sometimes you have to lie for the safety of your family. In school we learned a lot about the holocaust and how its victims were forced to give up their family members and belongs. Yes, in many cases lying was necessary for these people live.

Imagine being beaten my someone who’s forcing you to tell where your family may be hiding or if your planning a revolt against the regime. Ask yourself, would you be honest and tell or would you lie for the sake of your family? On that note, I believe honesty is the best policy in most cases.

Who I Am and Why I’m Here

Well, it’s the first day of the Zero to Hero Blogger Challenge and today I’m going to tell you who I am and why I’m here. First off, my name is Josh. I live on the planet Earth and inhabit a small part of the Western Hemisphere in a country known as the United States of America. I take refuge in the second biggest state in this nation; Texas, and no I’m not a cowboy who rides a shiny black stallion, I’m just a teenage kid trying to get through high-school the “highlight” of my life.

Now that you know who I am, you might be wondering why I’m here. I took it upon myself to make a personal New Year’s Resolution; to start a blog. I know, it seems kind of strange for someone, especially a teenage dude to start a blog as part of a resolution, but I need a place to write my thoughts and life events. I found out I don’t want to be a part of the daily bustle “the average teenage life”, I want to be something bigger, something even more special… and that’s why I decided to start this blog.

My New Year’s Resolution

I can’t believe 2014 is here already! Part of my Resolution was to start a blog where I could express my thoughts and talk about the events that are shaping my life. This past year has been rough for me and I hope this one will be better. Everyday I face a new challenge, but with a little “mental strength” and motivation I believe I can easily overcome these obstacles.
